Over 100 years of history…
What began as an Acme grocery store in 1917 transitioned to the legendary Al’s Quality Meat Market in 1947. It wasn’t until 2019 that it became the event center it is today known as Venice Hall.
Recently renovated, Venice Hall features an eclectic mix of locally sourced + ornate features, historical architecture, and modern amenities.
The interior design includes:
14’ tall tin ceilings + original wooden floors.
Chandeliers: Five 20-candle candelabras previously hung in the Akron City Centre Hotel in Downtown Akron
Communion Rail: originally used in a local church, it was sourced from a hay barn + restored to complement the space.
Although Jeannette and her husband, Tim, have owned the building since the late 1990s, it wasn’t until vacationing in Venice, Florida in 2019 that she realized she not only had the space, but the vision for what Venice Hall has become today. Between Jeannette’s creativity + Tim’s handyman skills, they began renovating the building the week they returned. Jeannette and Tim take pride in knowing they are able to share this beautiful + historic space with the community for all of life’s celebrations.
We hope your event can become part of Venice Hall’s history too!
